Jordan Addison will miss some time

There are plenty of great reasons to be excited about first-round draft pick Jordan Addison but the rookie receiver will not be in action during Saturday night's preseason game against the Tennessee Titans.

Addison is currently in concussion protocol and could return to action "as early as Monday" according to ESPN insider Adam Schefter on X. That means he won't be available for Saturday's preseason contest.

While it is unfortunate that the young receiver won't be able to suit up and play in Week 2 of the preseason, it will give the other pass-catchers more opportunities in both practices and the upcoming exhibition play.

Addison looked great in Week 1 of the preseason and this isn't something that should hamper him heading into the season. He will make the team, but the only question is if he will be able to beat out K.J. Osborn for a starting job.
