The Vikings also got bad news about edge rusher D.J. Wonnum

The Minnesota Vikings have vastly improved their defense from last season's abysmal efforts. The arrival of Brian Flores has brought a new-found aggression to rushing the passer, getting great production out of Danielle Hunter and D.J. Wonnum.

Minnesota's edge rusher has taken the place of Marcus Davenport, who has struggled to stay heathy despite Hunter drawing an insane amount of attention when the Vikings are attempting to disrupt opposing quarterbacks.

For the Minnesota Vikings, filling the edge rushing role opposite Danielle Hunter will be a challenge for the team's two remaining games. However, questions also arise about the future of edge rushers for the purple and gold in 2024 and beyond.

It will be interesting to see who gets the starting nod for the team's last two games of the season. Andre Carter II seems like the most likely option but the Vikings could get a look at another pass rusher instead.
