Vikings takeaway No. 1

It's hard to look good against Justin Jefferson.

There are quite a few defensive backs in camp who are either battling for a spot on the Minnesota Vikings roster for the 2023 season or could even play themselves into a starting role if they look good enough.

Sadly, going up against an elite wide receiver like Justin Jefferson will make looking good a big challenge. Every reporter watching training camp has seemed to have spoken about how Jefferson is making plays and appears ready for the regular season.

Tyler Forness of USA Today's VikingsWire shared a couple of examples of Jefferson beating Byron Murphy Jr. or making an excellent catch that would be enough to put the spotlight on the young receiver instead of the cornerback.

With Jordan Addison, K.J. Osborn, and Jalen Nailor all having good camps so far, more observation is definitely needed when it comes to the cornerbacks to know what is causing some of the struggles to defend the pass.
