Vikings takeaway No. 2

The rookie quarterback saw a bigger workload and had mixed results.

Earlier in camp, there was a lot of praise and hype swirling about rookie quarterback Jalen Hall. Will Ragatz of FanNation on the Sports Illustrated website discussed an interesting observation about the young man on Monday.

Backup quarterback Nick Mullens missed this practice due to a family matter and that gave Hall an opportunity to showcase more of what he has to offer the Minnesota Vikings as well as to keep growing and developing.

Ragatz stated that Hall looked good mechanically but saw some throws sail on him. Of course, it isn't surprising to see a rookie quarterback struggle and this isn't something that should be looked into too deeply.

So far, camp has been up and down for Jalen Hall, This one day with struggles doesn't negate the positive things he has done so far but it does give the young passer things to work on during drills and practices.
