The Minnesota Vikings will try to win their third-straight game on Sunday as they head to Lambeau Field to play the Green Bay Packers.
The Vikings started the regular season on the wrong foot, dropping their first three games, but have won three out of their last four games to right the ship. Meanwhile, the Packers are trending in the wrong direction, as they’ve lost four out of their past five games.
Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love has a tough challenge ahead of him as he’s thrown six interceptions in the last three games and will now face a Vikings defense that played well last week against Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers.
Can Kirk Cousins lead the Vikings to another win without Justin Jefferson? Or will the Packers’ defense get after Cousins in a must-win game? Below, we’ll preview this NFC North matchup a promo courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

Vikings vs. Packers Key Players to Watch
Minnesota Vikings
Jordan Addison: The rookie wide receiver is coming off an impressive performance against the 49ers on Monday night, where he recorded seven receptions (10 targets) for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Addison has scored four touchdowns in the last three games and has become one of the Cousins’ top pass-catching targets. With Packers star cornerback Jaire Alexander listed as questionable for Sunday, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Cousins air it out against a Green Bay that’s ranked 29th in DVOA-WR1 (43%), according to ftnfantasy.com.
Green Bay Packers
A.J. Dillon: Dillon has been one of the lone bright spots on the Packers’ offense during their three-game losing streak. The former Boston College standout had 95 yards on 17 touches in Green Bay’s Week 7 loss to the Broncos. Dillon has had back-to-back games with 15 or more carries, which is notable as Aaron Jones returned to the field last week. The Vikings allow 105.6 rushing yards per game (15th in the NFL) to opponents this season. If the Packers want to win on Sunday, they’ll need Dillon and Jones to lead the way.
Vikings vs. Packers Prediction and Pick
Cousins and the Vikings struggled immensely in their last trip to Lambeau Field, where they lost 41-17.
However, I don’t envision the same scenario playing out on Sunday. Now granted, Minnesota’s running game has been non-existent for most of the season, but it still has a better offense than what Green Bay has put out there.
The Packers are only scoring 16.6 points per game in their last three games, while Brian Flores’ Vikings defense is giving up 15 points per game in their past two games.
We might not see a lot of points scored Sunday, but I like Cousins and the Vikings to win their third consecutive game and keep pace with Detroit in the NFC North.
