Vikings WR Justin Jefferson doesn't care about your fantasy football team
By Adam Carlson
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson is tired of people complaining to him about their fantasy football team.
Fans of the Minnesota Vikings are excited about the possible return of star wide receiver Justin Jefferson this season, but there is another group that is frustrated that he hasn't returned to the field yet.
Apparently, individuals have been messaging Jefferson on social media to express their displeasure in him missing games while he heals from a hamstring injury that placed him on short-term injured reserve.
Jefferson could become active for Week 12, but with the Vikings having a Week 13 bye, it might be in the team's best interest to get their star receiver an extra week of recovery before inserting him back into the lineup.
It appears as though the frustrated individuals messaging him are fantasy football players who likely used one of their top draft picks to select last season's Offensive Player of the Year to be on their team's roster.
Justin Jefferson vented on X (formerly Twitter) about the direct messages he has been receiving, letting those fantasy football players know that his priority is getting healthy and returning to the game of football.
Justin Jefferson is right
While Justin Jefferson would likely be happy to help your fantasy football team win a championship this year, his injury places his focus on getting healthy enough to contribute when he is able to return to the field with his Minnesota Vikings teammates.
Some people may see his comments as alienating to his fantasy football fans, but health should be his number one priority. He could be a huge asset for Josh Dobbs and the Vikings' passing attack when he is able to come back.
The main takeaway here is not to send messages to NFL players complaining about their performance (or lack thereof). Complain to your friends and family, but leave your criticism out of the direct messages of professional athletes.
