Coming off a convincing win over the New York Giants in Week 1, the Minnesota Vikings face a much different challenge in Week 2. Their opponent will be the San Francisco 49ers, who should be another great test for the purple and gold.
This is the home opener for the Vikings, The crowd at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota will have an opportunity to be loud and rowdy to help Minnesota as they face off against a team that should be considered a Super Bowl contender.
Who are the announcers and referees for 49ers vs. Vikings today?
The Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers game is set for a noon CT kickoff in the early window. Interestingly, the game will air on CBS and be seen in most viewing areas depending on your local affiliate.
Announcers
The CBS announcers scheduled for the game are play-by-play commentator Kevin Harlan and color analyst Trent Green with sideline reporter Melanie Collins.
If you listen on the Vikings Radio Network, KFAN, or KTLK, you will have the radio announcing team of Paul Allen, Pete Bercich, and Ben Leber.
Those listening to the Spanish radio broadcast on WREY will have the duo of Gabriel Rios and Isaias Zendejas calling the game.
Referees
Sunday's Vikings game will be overseen by head official Brad Allen. Allen joined the NFL as an official in 2014 but is best known by NFC North football fans for a controversial call made in a 2023 game between the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys where the eligibility of offensive lineman Taylor Decker was brought into question. As backlash from that call, Allen's team was disqualified from officiating playoff games that year.

The Fallen Heroes of Minneapolis Police Department will be honored as this week's U.S. Bank's Hometown Hero.
Country artist Travis Denning will perform at halftime. He co-write several top country hits but also went Platinum Number One on the Country Airplay charts.
