Following the conclusion of the rookie mini-camp held by the Minnesota Vikings this past weekend, the team rewarded two undrafted free agents with a spot on their 90-man roster.

On Monday, the Vikings announced the signings of former Kent State linebacker Matt Harmon and former Morgan State defensive lineman Elijah Williams. Both were invited to Minnesota's rookie camp this year to try out, and both clearly did enough in the last few days to convince the team to sign them.

Measuring in at 6-foot-6 and 240 pounds, Harmon accumulated 56 tackles (6.5 for a loss) and two sacks at Kent State last season. As for Williams, the 6-foot-3, 270-pound defensive lineman had an outstanding college career at Morgan State where he racked up a total of 52 tackles for a loss and 31 sacks in 42 games.

Son of Randy Moss remains unsigned after Minnesota Vikings rookie mini-camp

Along with Harmon and Williams, former University of Maine wide receiver Montigo Moss was among the group trying out for the team this past weekend at Vikings rookie mini-camp. Moss, for those who are unaware, is the son of legendary former Minnesota receiver Randy Moss.

Unfortunately for the younger Moss, the Vikings did not offer him a spot on their roster after this year's rookie mini-camp. It's possible that Minnesota could bring him back for another chance in the future, but for now, his efforts to play in the NFL will have to continue elsewhere.

With Monday's signings, the Vikings' roster is now at the 90-man limit that is allowed before the start of the regular season. In fact, Minnesota actually has 91 players on its current roster, but they have a roster exemption for punter Oscar Chapman, as he is part of the NFL's International Player Pathway Program since he is a native of Australia.
