Vikings Give Sneak Peek of Super Bowl Bid Logo

Even as we speak, Minnesota has a contingent in Atlanta getting set to present their bid for the 2018 Super Bowl. What does Minnesota have to offer that would make the NFL want to hold its biggest event in the Land of 10,000 Lakes?

Well, there’s the new stadium, which hopefully will be up by 2018. There’s the whole Twin Cities experience which as we know is second to none.

Did I mention the new stadium?

And if those things aren’t enough to entice the NFL to hold the Super Bowl in Minneapolis in 2018, this logo should do it.

Now, keep in mind, this is not the official logo for the Super Bowl (that Minnesota doesn’t even have yet). This is just the logo for the bid.

Yes, bids need logos.

It’s all part of the whole presentation, which Minnesota hopes will be impressive enough to convince the NFL to spurn the other cities in the running and award the big game to Minneapolis.

The general feeling, I think, is that Minneapolis is the favorite. Roger Goodell more-or-less promised a Super Bowl in Minnesota if the Vikings got the new stadium done.

Well, they got the stadium done, so Goodell has to pay up. Come on Goodell. You know the slogan of House Lannister, right?

That’s right. A Lannister always pays his debts. Be a Lannister, Goodell. I don’t mean put your own son on trial for the murder of your dead inbred grandson. Not that part of it. Just the paying off the debt part.
