It Would Appear That Christian Ponder Isn’t Getting Reps

The Vikings have a wide-open three-man quarterback competition going on as mandatory minicamp gets into full swing. At least that’s what they keep telling us.

Here is the Vikings’ definition of a wide-open three man QB competition: Matt Cassel and Teddy Bridgewater get most of the reps, and Christian Ponder picks up the crumbs.

I know, this is a boring topic and we’re not supposed to be talking about it. Well try telling that to the media people in attendance for Tuesday’s minicamp session.

It was pretty much all Ponder Ponder Ponder.

Yup. Sounds wide open to me. Good luck with that #7.

Lol , DAN, I think you have a man crush on Ponder, ya cant go a day or two without writing about him, again writing a pointless article about something we all already know… You think your gonna get Zimmer to admit it? That would be a terrible coach.. Relax with the ponder business pleeeeeaaaase? No one cares if Zimmer is just taking the high road, its what he has to do for the team.

I knew Dan “knows zilch” Zinski wrote this jus by the title. Zinski thinks because we lost with Ponder at QB that it was Ponders fault. As if how good or bad the QB is the ultimate decision maker in games. Its not even worth noting that of all the other better than Ponder QBs in the league that only one wins the final game. Zinski is a joke and knows zilch about football. Anyone can write crap, as proven by Zinski, but real sports writers do their research. I would love to see how Zinski plays football.

    Your just a f… moron

While I think Ponder is likely to end up #3 on the QB depth chart, there could be a number of reasons other than disinterest which could cause the coaches to give him very few reps at this time.

It’s not possible at this time to prognosticate with much accuracy.

Ponder is there as trade bait. I heard the Packers may want him.
