Pro tip: If you’re a Vikings player and you get injured, don’t say anything about it on social media. Mike Zimmer will have to call you into his office for a sit down.

Zimmer addressed the Twitter issue during Like The Viking Age on Facebook. Follow TVA on Twitter. Subscribe to the Fansided Daily Newsletter. "Chase Ford [has been put on PUP]. Who obviously you know because he’s been tweeting. So we’re going to have a discussion about that this evening."

Vikings’ GM Rick Spielman has spoken in the past about the team’s concerns over social media conduct, and even revealed that some draft prospects were red flagged for things they placed on Twitter and Facebook.

Clearly Zimmer and Spielman are on the same page when it comes to this “less is more” policy regarding Twitter. Ford’s injury tweets provided Zimmer a chance to make his feelings clear right from the get-go.

So, Viking players, listen to your coach. Don’t tweet anything about your injuries. Or Mike Zimmer will have to chew you out. And you don’t want to get chewed out by Mike Zimmer.
