Vikings Won’t Be Going to London In 2015 (But Here’s Who Will)

There had been some whispers in the hours leading up to Thursday morning’s announcement of the 2015 slate of London games that the Vikings would once again be heading over the pond.

But those whispers turned out to be just false rumors. The NFL has announced its three London games for next year and the Vikings are not on the docket.

Considering how successful the breakfast-time game between Detroit and Atlanta was with fans in the US, expect at least one of those games to be an early starter in American time zones.

Hell, expect ALL of them to be early starters. Why not? Like a lot of people, I thought it was kind of cool to wake up, make some coffee and watch some football. Even if it was just the Lions and Falcons.

It’s more fun than watching pre-game crap for three hours while waiting for the noon games, that’s for sure.

The London experiment is certainly going well for the NFL but unlike in 2013, the Vikings will not be making the trip next year.

Minneapolis-based Viking fans will be glad to know the Vikes are playing all their home games next year in their actual home market.

Local Twin Cities businesses will also be glad to know that.

The only ones bummed will be all the UK-based Viking fans. We know you’re out there. But if you want to see the Vikes in person next year, you’ll have to trek over to the old USA.
