Minnesota Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway knows that he can’t play forever. He’s already had to agree to a pay cut to stay with the team this year and has endured several injuries over his years of football. Even though he loves the game, he doesn’t want to play too far into his career that he’s starting to hinder the team and put his own future in jeopardy. Luckily for Vikings fans, he wants his entire career to be in Minnesota.

In a recent article from the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Jim Souhan spoke with Chad Greenway about his future with the team.
"“I don’t want to play forever. I would like to be able to play 10 years and ride off as a Viking. You see so many guys who have stayed tied to this organization, and that’s something I’d like to be a part of.”"
Chad Greenway is currently in his 9th season with the Minnesota Vikings. One more year would give him that tenth season he speaks of. He’s been a major part of the Vikings team over his years, accumulating 964 tackles over the course of 121 games played. But those games have taken a huge toll on his body over the years.
"“You don’t want to let the game take too much from you. You have to quit at the right time because you want to be whole.”"
Hopefully, Chad Greenway can retire a member of the Minnesota Vikings. He’s been a great member of the community and a tackling machine. Hopefully, Greenway and the Minnesota Vikings can make that happen after one more year.
