Chandler Harnish entered the NFL as a rookie with the Indianapolis Colts. He was the final selection of the 2012 NFL Draft (#253 overall), earning the title of Mr. Irrelevant. He spent two seasons with the Colts before being signed on to the Vikings practice squad after Matt Cassel went down with a season ending injury. He was brought up to Minnesota’s active roster on October 2nd, 2014 to act as the backup for Christian Ponder against the Green Bay Packers.
After that, Chandler Harnish returned to the Vikings on their practice squad, but was placed the team’s injured list before he was released today with the designation of Terminated (By Club) From Practice Squad. The move leaves Teddy Bridgewater and Christian Ponder as the only quarterback on the active roster and Pat Devlin as the team’s practice squad passer.
We at The Viking Age would like to with Chandler Harnish the best of luck in all his future endeavors and thank him for his time with the Minnesota Vikings.
