CB Josh Robinson Excited About Rematch With Chicago Bears

Chicago dominated the first encounter with the Minnesota Vikings this year through the air.  The Bears accumulated 330 yards in the passing game, with Alshon Jeffery gaining 135 yards of that and Brandon Marshall accounting for 90 of those yards.  Minnesota couldn’t stop the tall, athletic combination of Jeffery and Marshall, even when Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was just throwing up hail mary passes.

In a recent article on Fox Sports North, cornerback Josh Robinson spoke about wanting revenge on the Bears.  Pro Football Focus credited Josh Robinson for being targeted by quarterback Jay Cutler 15 times, allowing 11 catches for 139 yards.  He’s both a little excited and disappointed about his opportunity in the Vikings season finale against the Bears:

"“Oh, I’ve been looking forward to it,” Robinson said of the rematch. “Since that game ended, I’ve been looking forward to it. So I’m excited. Unfortunately, Brandon Marshall isn’t playing, but we’ll do our best to get with Alshon and the rest of those guys.”"

Josh Robinson’s wife was relieved that he wouldn’t be facing off against Brandon Marshall, but Josh Robinson didn’t exactly share the feeling.

"“She was like, ‘yes, you don’t have to play him no more,'” Robinson said Friday. “I was like, ‘What? I want to play him.’ It’s cool though. We’re excited for it and just ready to redeem ourselves, especially me.”"

Robinson will get his chance on Sunday when the Bears travel to Minnesota for the season finale of the two teams.  The game will decide which team will be in last place in the NFC North and whether or not the Vikings get swept in the NFC North.  You can watch the game at noon central time on Fox.  Check your local listings for availability.
