Mike Zimmer Gets Birthday Spankings From Xavier Rhodes and Terence Newman (Video)

Mike Zimmer turned 59 on June 5, and a pair of his defensive players made sure Zim’s big day received proper acknowledgement in the form of spankings.

Xavier Rhodes and Terence Newman did the honors on Zim, who seemed tickled to have a pair of grown men slapping him on the ass.
Newman of course has a long history with Zimmer going all the way back to Dallas and through Zim’s tenure in Cincinnati. Rhodes has a little less history with Zim, having played for him just one season.
As we see in this video clip, Rhodes is understandably a little unsure when Newman suggests they should give Zimmer a birthday spanking. But once Rhodes sees Newman smacking Zim heartily on the cheek, he dives right in and gives the other cheek a few nice smacks.
Not only was this a nice gesture in acknowledgement of Zimmer’s birthday, it was also a cool bonding exercise for a couple of new teammates in Newman and Rhodes.
It’s nice to see the veteran Newman taking Rhodes under his wing. Rhodes is learning all sorts of new stuff from Newman, including how to spank your coach and not have him get mad.
You can just feel this team coming together, can’t you? Big things are in store for 2015, you mark my words.
