Vikings-Raiders game delayed due to lightning
By Dan Zinski
The only way to make a preseason game even more tedious? Add a 30-minute weather delay. That’s just what we got tonight in the second quarter of Vikings-Raiders from TCF Bank Stadium.

With lightning striking in the vicinity of the stadium, the players were pulled off the field and the fans were told to evacuate the stands.
It would be a pretty bad look for fans or players to get hit by lightning. The NFL has enough PR problems as it is.
By rule, the game will be delayed at least 30 minutes.
If you’re at the game and wondering where you’re supposed to go, the Vikings posted this handy map.
The game was tied 6-6 at the time the delay hit. Teddy Bridgewater threw a touchdown pass to Charles Johnson for the Vikings but Blair Walsh misread the wind (I guess) and missed the PAT.
Update: The game is expected to restart sometime around 9 PM. Fingers crossed!
Also a doofus ran onto the field in the middle of a downpour and ran around. At least somebody had fun!
