The Minnesota Vikings placed Scott Crichton on injured reserve while promoting Zach Moore from the practice squad.
Scott Crichton will finish the 2015 season on the shelf after being placed on injured reserve following a concussion/neck injury suffered during last Thursday’s game in Arizona.
Replacing Crichton on the 53-man roster is DE Zach Moore, a former Concordia St. Paul player who was signed to the Vikings practice squad earlier this year.
The 6-6, 280-pound Moore was originally drafted in the sixth round by the Patriots in 2014. He was cut by the Patriots at the end of this year’s training camp.

Moore played in eight games for the Pats in 2014 and notched 1/2 sack.
Crichton goes to IR after playing in 13 games for the Vikings. The defensive end had eight tackles on the season.
Scott has played in just 21 games for the Vikings, strictly as a rotational player, since being drafted in the third round last year. A good return on a third round draft pick?
Zach Moore now gets the chance to audition for a possible future role with the Vikings while Scott Crichton goes home and contemplates what is next.
The Minnesota Vikings go into this weekend’s game vs. Chicago banged up on defense, with Harrison Smith and Anthony Barr out and Linval Joseph and Everson Griffen listed as questionable.
