AC Leonard Posts Cryptic Tweet About Departure From Vikings
By Dan Zinski

The Vikings don’t have much to say about Wednesday’s decision to waive UDFA TE AC Leonard, and it turns out AC Leonard doesn’t have much to say either.

Hours after news broke that Leonard had been waived without an injury designation, Leonard would only offer up this cryptic tweet:
Leonard also tweeted the usual stuff about how God does everything for a reason.
The former Florida and Tennessee State TE left practice in the middle of last week complaining of a headache, but after tests were run, nothing could be found that indicated a larger problem.
Though Leonard continued showing up every day, he never got back on to the practice field. The Vikings decided to cut him rather than continue dealing with whatever his issue may be. The lack of an injury designation means Leonard is not in line for injured reserve or an injury pay off.
The abrupt nature of Leonard’s departure after a week of missing practice for no good reason will lead some to speculate that there is more to this story than either the Vikings or the player are willing to reveal. Whatever happened with Leonard was, according to him, beyond his control.
The Vikes will proceed without AC Leonard and AC Leonard will proceed without the Vikes. It will work out for the Vikes; I’m not sure about AC Leonard.
