KARE 11 and KFAN will once again simulcast preseason games, using radio team Paul Allen and Pete Bercich. Greg Coleman and Ben Leber will serve as sideline reporters.

The game will be rebroadcast by NFL Network at 9 AM CT Monday, Aug. 25. It will be rebroadcast by Fox Sports North Plus at 10:00 PM CT Sunday.

The Chiefs hold the lead in the regular season series 7-4.
The Vikings and Chiefs last met in the preseason in 2009 with the Vikings winning 17-13.
The Vikings and Chiefs met in Super Bowl IV in 1970 with the Chiefs winning 23-7.
In 1994, the Vikings and Chiefs clashed in a preseason game in Tokyo, Japan with the Vikings coming out on top 17-9.
Current Vikings special teams coach Mike Priefer was special teams coach for Kansas City from 2006 to 2008.
Current Chiefs RB coach Eric Bieniemy was Vikings RB coach from 2006-2010.
Chiefs Special Project Manager Brad Childress was Vikings head coach from 2006-2010.
Vikings QB Matt Cassel played for the Chiefs from 2009 to 2012.
Chiefs S Husain Abdullah played for the Vikings from 2008-2011.
Remember former Vikings defensive coordinator Emmitt Thomas? He is currently employed by the Chiefs as DB coach.
