Sharrif Floyd and Xavier Rhodes both had dings in St. Louis, and neither man was able to practice on Wednesday. Floyd is dealing with a shoulder and Rhodes is battling a groin.
Each player is day-to-day at this point.
Brandon Watts was also unable to practice Wednesday after missing practice time last week as well. Will he ever get better? Who the hell knows?
More Vikings were limited in practice due to lingering situations, including Michael Mauti, Zach Line and Mike Harris.
Charlie Johnson appeared on the list of limited players as well. He may be suffering whiplash after getting turned around by Robert Quinn on an early blown pass protection.
The impression I’m getting is that we should be semi-concerned about Rhodes and not very concerned about Floyd. If Rhodes can’t go, rookie Jabari Price will likely get the call at cornerback.
It doesn’t look like the Vikings are inclined to bring back Derek Cox, who they let go when rosters were reduced from 90 to 75. Cox is available after being cut by the Ravens.
