New England holds a 7-4 lead on the Vikings in the all-time series.
The Vikings are 2-2 at home against the Patriots.
A win against New England would give the Vikings their first outdoor home victory since defeating New Orleans 20-10 in November of 1981.
Mike Zimmer this week seeks to become the third coach in Vikings history to start a career 2-0. Brad Childress and Leslie Frazier both began their Minnesota tenures with consecutive victories. And look how great things turned out for both of them.
