Vikings Players Show Support For Adrian Peterson
By Dan Zinski
Unofficial suspension. Deactivation. Banishment. Whatever you call what the Vikings are doing with Adrian Peterson, one thing is certain: Peterson’s teammates don’t like it.

Several of Peterson’s fellow Vikings have spoken out in the wake of his relegation to the Exempt/Commissioner’s Permission list. The notably outspoken Captain Munnerlyn has been the most vocal so far, ripping those who have ripped Peterson for his choice of “child discipline” method (via Vikings.com).
"Growing up I was disciplined the same way. I think Adrian is a great dude. A great parent. One situation like this…it’s people’s opinion on things. I support Adrian in everything he did. I didn’t see nothing wrong with it. That’s me personally."
Peterson’s long-time teammate and friend Jerome Felton also indirectly spoke out against the team’s move to banish Peterson. He’s speaking about Jameis Winston being suspended by FSU for his profane public outburst but clearly he is also talking about Peterson.
Other Vikings were more careful and measured in their words of support for Peterson. Everson Griffen said:
"We support Adrian. We wish he was here. But at this time it’s out of our control and I’m going to leave that to management to deal with that."
Clearly Adrian’s teammates still have his back. They just won’t have him around slicing up defenses, likely for the remainder of the season.
