#3:  Jerome Simpson‘s Problems With The Law

Coming into this season, Jerome Simpson was already facing a suspension of three games because of a violation of the NFL’s drug abuse policy.  The Minnesota Vikings seemed more than willing to give the young, athletic wide receiver another shot when he was eligible to return to the team because of his low pricetag and moderate ceiling.

Instead, Jerome Simpson made the decision to put himself in the position to get in legal issues again.  Today, it was discovered that Simpson had been cited by law enforcement for a situation involving both marijuana and alcohol.

The Minnesota Vikings moved swiftly upon discovering this information and released the troubled wide receiver from the team.

Jerome Simpson is one of those players that has a lot of physical talent but just can’t seem to keep it together mentally in order to have a successful NFL career.  I just hope he can find the help he needs now that he has hopefully realized the impact of his poor life decisions.
