After Sunday’s 8-sack debacle, many a fan has called for the Vikings to make personnel changes on the offensive line.

But Vikings OC Norv Turner has indicated that the team’s obvious pass protection issues aren’t just about the offensive line. And when the Vikes hit the practice field Thursday, the usual five starters were all out there in their familiar roles.
Translation: Norv isn’t ready to shake things up on his O-line.
Norv talked about the fan reaction to the protection problems Sunday (via 1500ESPN):
"“When we’re talking about protecting the quarterback, I know the emphasis in conversations has been on the offensive line,” Offensive coordinator Norv Turner said. “It’s everyone involved in terms of what we’re doing: the ball getting out on time, backs picking up properly and guys being on their assignments.”"
Teddy Bridgewater has gladly put the onus on himself, saying he needs to get the ball out faster to help his line.
Turner has also put some blame on the backs for their lack of blocking. It’s been suggested as well that the Vikings’ receivers may not be doing a great job of getting open.
It’s down to each individual to decide where they think the blame lies, but there’s one thing we all agree on: the Vikings offensive isn’t going to get any better until the passing game gets straightened out.
The Vikings may or may not have the personnel necessary to get that fixed.
