Vikings quarterback may be the most dangerous job in America. First Matt Cassel breaks his foot and goes out for the year, then Teddy Bridgewater misses a game with an ankle sprain, and now practice squad QB Chandler Harnish has gone down with a Lisfranc injury.

Harnish suffered the injury in practice when he was stepped on by a lineman, according to Mike Zimmer. Given the usual severity of such an injury, the assumption is that Harnish is done for the year.
A former member of the Colts, Harnish was signed by the Vikings after both Cassel and Bridgewater became injured, leaving the Vikes with just Christian Ponder and practice squad player McLeod Bethel-Thompson.
The Vikes briefly had both Harnish and Bethel-Thompson in the fold but finally elected to go with Harnish. Now Bethel-Thompson may receive a phone call.
My advice for MBT or whatever QB takes Harnish’s spot: be on the lookout for stray feet. Actually, just be on the lookout period. If you’re a Minnesota Vikings QB, you’re an endangered species.
Update: The latest word on Harnish is that it’s a four-to-six week injury for him.
