The injured person was reportedly a police officer.
The accident reportedly happened when the police vehicle escorting the buses missed its exit and stopped, causing a chain reaction crash that claimed both buses and led to the officer being hurt.
No serious injuries were reported on either bus but the players were said to be shaken up. The start time for the game is not expected to be affected by the crash.
When the Redskins do arrive at TCF, they are expected to be met by a mob of protesters demonstrating against the team’s nickname.
Inside TCF, they will face a 3-5 Vikings squad coming off a road win vs. Tampa Bay. The Vikings are just 1-2 at home this year.
