Fans of the Minnesota Vikings will have to do something a little different on Sunday when the team takes on the Bears in Chicago. They will have to tune into the game between the two NFC teams on CBS instead of Fox.

FOX is known for handling the road games of the NFC. For example, if the Panthers went to New England for a game against the Patriots, the rights to that game would be held by FOX. If both teams were from the NFC, FOX would obviously own the rights to the game.
And that’s the case for Sunday’s game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears. However, that game will be seen on CBS, not FOX.
This is something that is rarely done in the NFL, but it has been done for a good reason. Prior to this swap, CBS only had the rights to three noon kickoff games while FOX owned 6 games in the time slot. In order to provide a better selection of games on CBS, the game was flexed to that channel.
Vikings fans: instead of tuning in to FOX on Sunday for the game, switch on over to CBS at noon. They’ll have your football fix there. Hopefully, the Vikings can give the folks on CBS a reason to want to see more from the team.
