Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph To See Snap Count Against Chicago

Things are looking up for the Minnesota Vikings offense.  They’re facing a struggling Chicago defense on Sunday and will get one of their biggest weapons back in tight end Kyle Rudolph.

Rudolph has missed been out of action since playing the first three games of the regular season for the Vikings.  He has been sidelined with with a sports hernia injury since.  Kyle Rudolph’s 6’6″ frame will be a welcomed target for rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, but Rudolph may not see as much action as both fans, and Mr. Bridgewater may want from the tight end.

In a recent article by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer talked about how the team will use their star tight end on Sunday.  Here’s what he said:

"“We’ll have a plan for him on how many plays we’ll want to use him in,” Zimmer said. “We’ll be smart with him.”"

The Vikings will likely rotate in backup tight end Chase Ford on a regular basis during the game, easing Kyle Rudolph back into action and allowing him to test out his health in a game day situation.  Those words even rang true in another statement from the Star Tribune by Kyle Rudolph himself.  Here’s what he said:

"“From watching on the side, it’s been extremely exciting to see what’s going on around here,” Rudolph said. “I’m really looking forward to having the opportunity to work this week and try and get back out there on Sunday.”"

Hopefully, even in a limited role, Kyle Rudolph can provide the Minnesota Vikings offense with a spark and help lift them over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
