Minnesota Vikings superstar running back Adrian Peterson will face another huge step in an attempt to get back on the field this week.
On Tuesday, December 2nd, Adrian Peterson is scheduled to go before former NFL Executive Vice President of Labor Relations Harold Henderson and argue for his reinstatement and release from the Exempt/Commissioner’s Permission List. Henderson has handled many of the NFLPA’s grievances, including 87 such debates since 2008. He is more than qualified to handle the reinstatement hearing.

Adrian Peterson has a little momentum going for him after the NFL lost a recent decision in a grievance from Ray Rice resulted in his reinstatement less than a week ago. Rice was given a lifelong ban from the NFL, which was immediately reversed when found to be unjust. Peterson is facing a similar punishment, being suspended for “at least” this season.
Fans shouldn’t expect immediate results from this hearing. Henderson may need to take a little time to come to a decision in this case considering the sensitive nature of the issue and the lack of precedent for this type of incident. Plus, there are many results that can happen IF it is found that Peterson is being treated unfairly. He could find himself removed from the Exempt/Commissioner’s Permission list or even reinstated to play.
Any way we look at it, we’ll know more about Adrian Peterson’s future soon.
