Minnesota Vikings defensive end Brian Robison is known for his long hair and his sweet fishing celebration after he gets a sack. Sadly, we won’t see one of these things for a while now.
In a generous move to charity, Brian Robison cut off his long locks on Monday and donated them to Locks Of Love. If you’re not familiar with the charity, what they do is collect donations of hair from people in order to make hairpieces for children under 21 years old that don’t have hair of their own. This includes medical conditions like Alopecia and Cancer.
Here is a photo that Brian Robison posted on his Instagram account of the hair that was removed from his head.

Brian Robison even posted a photo of his new style on his instagram account. It’s a little strange to see him without the long hair that we’ve come to know from from the hard-nosed defensive end, but it’s a very classy and thoughtful gesture. Robison has been a class act since coming to the Minnesota Vikings in 2007, notching 185 tackles and 39 sacks at this point in his career. The 31-year pass rusher sure looks different without the trademark locks.

For more information on Locks Of Love, including how to submit your hair or apply for a hairpiece of your own, visit their website at http://www.locksoflove.org/. They do fantastic work and help young people who are dealing with issues of confidence and depression by making them feel less self conscious. If you have long hair and are considering going with a shorter look, please consider donating to a worthy cause.
