On Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings defeated the New York Jets in an overtime thriller that saw both teams get possession of the ball.  However, nobody may have been more excited about the team’s win than Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen.

During overtime, the Minnesota defense held the Jets to a punt on the initial drive, giving the Vikings offense a chance to win the game.  Teddy Bridgewater connected on a screen pass to Jarius Wright that went 87 yards for a touchdown to end the game in an emphatic way.

Everson Griffen couldn’t miss the game winning touchdown either.  In fact, after the game Mike Max of WCCO TV-Minneapolis attempted to interview the dynamic pass rusher, but the game winning play was shown on the big screen.  Of course, a play of that magnitude will stop any interview dead in its tracks.  What resulted was a fantastic interview showing tons of emotion,

Here is a video of the interview:

Although I loved the play by play and loud emotional outbursts by Everson Griffen, the best part of the interview might have been when he was seemingly either pretending to ride of horse or doing an over excited skip on his way back to the locker room.

Either way, Everson Griffen’s interview goes down as one of the best post game chats in Minnesota Vikings history.
