Vikings Rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has been racking in the awards and recognitions recently. After Bridgewater’s week 14 performance against the New York Jets, he is up for another award.
Teddy Bridgewater has been nominated for Pepsi Rookie of the Week for week 14 of the NFL season.
Here are his statistics for the game against the Jets on Sunday:

Completed 19 of 27 passes
70.37% completion percentage
309 passing yards
2 passing touchdowns
1 interception
QB rating of 117.7
11.44 yards per pass attempt
This was Teddy Bridgewater’s second 300+ yard passing game of the season, the first since his week 4 performance against Atlanta. Hiw week 14 performance also marks back-to-back weeks with a completion percentage of over 70%.
Here are the players that Bridgewater will be competing against for the award:
Derek Carr, QB – Oakland Raiders
- Completed 22 of his 28 pass attempts for 254 passing yards and three touchdowns
Andre Williams, RB – New York Giants
- 24 carries for 131 yards and a touchdown
Bene’ Benwikere, CB – Carolina Panthers
- 8 tackles, defended 2 passes and had an interception
Martavis Bryant, WR – Pittsburgh Steelers
- 4 catches for 109 yards and one touchdown
In my opinion, this award should come down to either Teddy Bridgewater or Derek Carr. Both quarterbacks had fantastic performances worthy of winning. However, the great performances of Williams and Bryant shouldn’t be ignored either.
