The Minnesota Vikings may have missed the postseason this year, but the hopes for the future of the team are high among the members of the locker room.

Minnesota finished the 2014 NFL season with a 7-9 record, improving on their 5-10-1 record from the previous year despite many injuries, legal issues, and rookies thrust into starting positions. Many “experts” expected this Vikings team to take a step backwards in 2014 after losing veterans Jared Allen and Kevin Williams from the defense and starting new with a first time head coach and new offensive and defensive systems.
Proving many people wrong, the Vikings gave their fan base and their locker room high expectations for the 2015 season. Many Vikings players even talked to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press about their expectations for next year. Some of them were more bold than others. Here are some tweets containing quotes:
Some #Vikings players made playoff guarantees today. “We will be in the playoffs next year. Definitely,’’ Everson Griffen told me.

#Vikings cornerback Captain Munnerlyn: “If we don’t make the playoffs next year, it’s a bust. … I think it’s playoffs or bust’’

#Vikings defensive end Brian Robison; "I think anything less than the playoffs next year would be a disappointment.’’
