Cris Carter, Randy Moss and Jake Reed All Want Duron Carter in Purple
By Dan Zinski
Duron Carter is going to play somewhere in the NFL in 2015, and if his dad has his way, that “somewhere” will be Minnesota.

But legendary Vikings Hall of Fame receiver Cris Carter isn’t the only one pushing for Duron to wind up in purple. Carter’s old playing pals have something to say about it too.
The Vikings certainly are interested in Carter and will reportedly work out the CFL star on Friday. But the Vikings aren’t the only team giving Carter a serious look. The Chiefs, Colts and Buccaneers are also high on the list of potential landing spots for the receiver.
The Vikings, Chiefs, Colts, Bucs and any other teams looking to sign Duron Carter will have to wait until February 1. Speculation is that Carter could receive a deal similar to the one the Vikings gave another CFL receiver a few years ago.
One hopes that Carter’s NFL career turns out better than Manny Arceneaux’s. He already has the all-important Chad Johnson endorsement. After Friday, will he receive Norv Turner’s approval?
The great thing about a Duron Carter signing is that it would add another receiver to the mix without the team having to break the bank. The Vikings do need to add more receiver talent, but Greg Jennings’ large contract makes signing a big-name like Larry Fitzgerald unrealistic. Drafting a receiver at 11 is a possibility but the Vikes might prefer to address other needs with that pick.
