Kevin Williams Wants To Retire With The Minnesota Vikings

There’s a special place in fans hearts for defensive tackle Kevin Williams.  Luckily, Kevin Williams seems to have that same kind of love in his heart for the Minnesota Vikings.

He spent 11 seasons with the Vikings before being signed by the Seattle Seahawks last offseason.  Although he’s got a shot at a ring during Super Bowl 49, he still wants to retire as a member of the Minnesota Vikings according to a recent interview from the Pioneer Press.

"“Who else would I retire for?” Williams said. “I played 11 years with the Vikings. That would be great. I would hope that would be the goal for the Vikings and for me.”"

There shouldn’t be too much of a problem for the Vikings and Kevin Williams to be able to work out a deal to let him retire with the squad.  Williams was the former #9 overall selection in the 2003 NFL Draft by Minnesota.  He and former defensive tackle Pat Williams made up the famous “Williams Wall” for the Vikings from 2003 to 2010.

Even Vikings legend and Hall of Fame defensive end Carl Eller had some input on Kevin Williams possibly retiring with Minnesota.

"“The Vikings is a special organization,” said Carl Eller. “It would be really great if Kevin is able to retire a Viking. I’d love to see that.”"
