It appears as though Duron Carter, the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Cris Carter, has made his decision as far as which NFL team to sign with. After a long time of deciding which team to sign with, it seems Carter has decided to join the Indianapolis Colts.
Here is the news of Duron’s decision according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter:
Montreal WR Duron Carter, son of HOF WR and ESPN analyst Cris Carter, is closing in on an agreement with the Indianapolis Colts.

It’s moderately surprising that Duron Carter didn’t choose to live in the footsteps of his father with the Vikings, but it’s hard to disagree with his decision to play for the Indianapolis Colts. He’s got Andrew Luck throwing him the football and enters a situation where it could be much easier to earn a roster spot or possibly compete for a starting job.
It’s a disappointing blow to many fans that were hoping the young wide receiver would come to Minnesota and help bolster their stable of pass catchers. Instead, the Vikings could look to the draft or free agency to find another capable receiver if they decide it is a need for the team.
Even though Duron Carter didn’t choose the Minnesota Vikings, we at The Viking Age would like to wish him the best of luck in Indianapolis.
