If/when the Vikings do decide to part ways with Adrian Peterson, you can bet plenty of teams will line up to take a crack at signing the former MVP. LaDainian Tomlinson thinks the San Diego Chargers should be at the head of the line (via ESPN):

"“You have to explore options,” Tomlinson said. “You have to see what Ryan (Mathews) wants – if he wants to be back in San Diego – and then what he’s asking for, because if you have a guy like Adrian Peterson, who might be on the market, then you have to explore that option.”"
If you need to see Tomlinson actually saying the above words, here’s the video.
This offseason will be filled with many such statements from TV people, writers and others looking to drum up conversation. When a player as high-profile as Adrian Peterson has a chance to hit the market, you can bet there will be plenty of speculation.
I don’t know if the Vikings will outright cut Peterson, but I don’t see him being brought back for $15 million. The most likely outcome seems a re-structure. Trading Peterson remains a possibility, however remote.
Whatever the Vikings end up doing with Peterson, one hopes a resolution can be reached quickly so the offseason plan can play out. Letting Peterson hold the whole franchise hostage would be a mistake.
