That doesn’t mean that Jerome Felton will not return to the Minnesota Vikings.  In fact, it probably would have been less likely that Felton had stuck with the team if he hadn’t voided his deal.  His high salary would have made him an ideal candidate for a cap casualty during the offseason.  There is still a possibility that the fullback will return to the Vikings after exploring free agency.

Jerome Felton himself took to Twitter to discuss his situation in free agency and thank the Vikings and the fans for standing by him throughout his time with Minnesota.  Here are the tweets:

We at The Viking Age would like to thank Jerome Felton for his time in Minnesota and hope that he can return to the team.  He’s a veteran leader and one of the best guys to talk to on social media.  He’s a road grading run blocker who any running back would love to have blocking for them.  We’d like to wish him the best of luck in everything he does in the future.
