Vikings.Com’s 5 Draft Fits For Minnesota At #11

With draft season approaching, many experts and novices on social media (including myself) will be talking about the prospects that could be great fits for the Minnesota Vikings to select at the 2015 NFL Draft.  It is almost a certain thing that not everyone will agree on a specific biggest need or best option for the team, but the discussion is most of the fun part of the draft process.

Recently, Vikings.com’s Mike Wobschall threw his hat in the ring and wrote an article about the upcoming draft.  Here are the five players Mike Wobschall says would be a good fit for the Minnesota Vikings at #11 overall for the 2015 NFL Draft:

Nov 29, 2014; Louisville, KY, USA; Louisville Cardinals wide receiver DeVante Parker (9) runs the ball against the Kentucky Wildcats during the second half at Papa John

DeVante Parker, WR – Louisville

Brandon Scherff, OT – Iowa

Trae Waynes, CB – Michigan State

Benardrick McKinney, LB – Mississippi State

Melvin Gordon, RB – Wisconsin

The thing that I found most interesting about his list was that all five of his selections play different positions.  It really shows how much of a perceived need Wobschall sees wide receiver, offensive tackle, cornerback, linebacker, and running back.  However, I’m not sure many fans have the needs weighted the same way as this Vikings.com article does.

Of course, the need at running back depends entirely on the status of former NFL MVP Adrian Peterson.  And the draft needs will also change according to signings and players lost in free agency.

Is there one of the five prospects that Mike Wobschall mentioned that you’d like to see the Minnesota Vikings draft at #11.  Or was there a players that was overlooked in his article that you think deserves a much closer look?  Let us know in the comments below.
