Adrian Peterson Rumors: Oakland Raiders in the Trade Mix?
By Dan Zinski
You had to wonder when the Oakland Raiders would at last find their way into the Adrian Peterson trade rumor mix.

Wonder no more everyone. The Raiders have finally joined the party.
Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman hears that Oakland is among three teams to look out for should the Vikings decide to deal Peterson:
"I asked two general managers about Peterson’s return, and they told me they believe three teams are in play for him: the Cowboys, the Cardinals and the Raiders.“The Cowboys are the front-runners,” one said, “but I actually believe the Raiders are right there.”"
It doesn’t take much digging to unearth logical reasons why the Raiders would make sense as a landing spot for Peterson.
1: The Raiders have Bill Musgrave as their OC, and Musgrave had lots of success with Peterson (he was the guy calling the plays when Peterson ran for 2,000 yards).
2: The Raiders have a young QB who could benefit from a strong run game.
3: The Raiders have almost $20 million in cap space.
4: The Raiders are the Raiders.
Oakland currently holds the #4 overall pick in the upcoming draft. Offer that pick to Rick Spielman and I’m betting Rick will be happy to work out a deal.
If the Vikings can get a high first rounder for Peterson, Spielman won’t be the only happy camper. Most Viking fans would be pretty elated too I’m guessing.
