Prior to today, we had a broad knowledge of when the Minnesota Vikings would be playing their preseason games. However, the official Minnesota Vikings twitter account gave us the exact times and dates of each of the preseason encounters just hours before the release of the regular season schedules.
Last year, the Minnesota Vikings were undefeated during the preseason, finishing with a 4-0 record and looking quite impressive while doing do. In fact, the game against the Arizona Cardinals was one of the most exciting preseason games that I’ve ever seen.
Here is the complete list of the 2015 preseason action for the Minnesota Vikings:
August 9, 2015 at 7 pm CST
- Hall of Fame game vs Pittsburgh Steelers. This game will be held at a neutral field in Canton, Ohio.

August 15, 2015 at 7 pm CST (Sunday)
- Week 1: Minnesota Vikings vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
August 22, 2015 at 7 pm CST (Saturday)
- Week 2: Minnesota Vikings vs Oakland Raiders
August 29, 2015 at 6 pm CST (Saturday)
- Week 3: Minnesota Vikings at Dallas Cowboys
September 3, 2015 at 7 pm CST (Thursday)
- Week 4: Minnesota Vikings at Tennessee Titans
As you can likely see, the Minnesota Vikings will have five preseason games compared to the usual four. This is because they were invited to play in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio this year. That is truly an honor since legendary Vikings offensive lineman Mick Tingelhoff is a member of the 2015 Pro Football Hall of Fame class. The Vikings will play against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are represented in the Hall of Fame class by running back Jerome Bettis.
Aside from that special game, Minnesota will have the standard two home games and two road games for their preseason.
