FOX 9 KMSP Will Air 16 Of The Minnesota Vikings 21 Games


The Minnesota Vikings and FOX 9 KMSP have reached an agreement on a partnership that will make the channel the official home for the team’s football games during the 2015 season.  The agreement includes 12 regular season games and 4 preseason contests.

Vikings Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer Steve LaCroix is excited about the partnership with Fox according a recent press release on the official Minnesota Vikings website:

"“With 16 of the Vikings 21 games in 2015 broadcast on FOX, this is a natural partnership. We are thrilled to move forward with KMSP to continue bringing exclusive and unique content to Vikings fans.”"

In addition to the 16 Minnesota Vikings games that will air on FOX 9 KMSP, original content like “Beyond the Gridiron” and other behind-the-scenes programs will continue to air on the channel.

Even FOX 9 KMSP Vice President & General Manager Sheila Oliver is excited about this opportunity to bring games to the home market through the channel and be the “Official Home of the Minnesota Vikings”.

Here is a list of the five games that will NOT be appearing on FOX 9 KMSP:

  • Preseason: Hall of Fame Game vs. Pittsburgh Steeleers from Canton, Ohio (NBC)
  • Week 1: Monday Night Football – Vikings at San Francisco 49ers (ESPN)
  • Week 3: Vikings vs. San Diego Chargers (CBS)
  • Week 6: Vikings vs. Kansas City Chiefs (CBS)
  • Week 14: Thursday Night Football –  Vikings at Arizona Cardinals (NFL Network)
