Minnesota Vikings cornerback Jabari Price has been suspended for the first two games of the regular season for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. Price’s suspension is related to a December 2014 DWI arrest.

Price expressed remorse in a statement (via NFL.com):
"“I sincerely apologize to my family, my teammates, the Vikings organization and Vikings fans for the mistake I made last winter,” Price said in a statement released by the team. “I can assure you that it will never happen again. I look forward to returning to helping my team on the field in Week 3.”"
The 22-year-old Price pleaded guilty to careless driving in April.
Price’s suspension, plus the injury to cornerback Josh Robinson, left the Vikings needing some extra depth in their secondary. So on Friday they signed former Panthers CB Josh Thomas.
Despite this personal setback, Price is expected to be in the mix for the Vikings, probably as the backup to Captain Munnerlyn in the slot corner role. Price played in 14 games last year and got 46 defensive snaps.
The NFL had a very busy day handing out suspensions on Friday.
