If Colin Kaepernick didn’t know Harrison Smith before, he does now.
Smith introduced himself to Mr. Kaepernick during the first quarter of the Vikings-49ers game and it was anything but a polite hello.
Kaepernick scrambled as he is known to do and went running up the sideline looking for extra yardage.
That was when Harrison Smith came in to violently stop his forward progress.

That was pretty much the defensive highlight of the first quarter for the Vikings. The Vikes did make one huge special teams play when Andrew Sendejo blocked a field goal and Marcus Sherels ran it 45 yards.
And the Vikings got zero points off that big play because Blair Walsh missed his own field goal try.
Oh Blair Walsh. What is going on in your head?
Another major issue underlined by the first quarter of play: Vikings offensive line woes.
Teddy Bridgewater spent much of the first quarter running for his life and frankly he looked rattled.
Hopefully the Vikings can tighten up their blocking, learn to recognize blitzes, open some holes for Adrian Peterson.
You know, just execute offense. That would be great.
