Mick Tingelhoff as inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2015. However, the honors didn’t stop when he received his jacket and bust.
The long-time Minnesota Vikings center will receive his Pro Football Hall of Fame ring during a ceremony that will be held during halftime of the home game against the San Diego Chargers on September 27, 2015. This is a normal things, as most inductees into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and typically presented with their ring in front of the city that they are most associated with. This will be a great opportunity for fans to see Mick Tingelhoff, as he is a Minnesota Vikings legend and doesn’t make a lot of public appearances anymore.
However, if you miss out on this opportunity to see Mick Tingelhoff, you’ll have at least one more opportunity during the 2015 NFL season.

During the game between the Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs on October 18, 2015, Mick Tingelhoff and many other of the team’s legends will be on hand to honor the players and coaches who participated in the team’s four Super Bowl appearances. This event is to celebrate the 50th Super Bowl of the National Football League and honor the Vikings teams of 1969, 1973, 1974 and 1976.
Personally, I’ll be on hand for the Kansas City game where I’m happy to get to see Mick Tingelhoff, as regular readers on this site and listeners of the Purple People Podcast likely know my love for the offensive line. Also, that is the week that the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s travelling exhibit will be in Minneapolis, so it’s a great time to take a big bite of the team’s history.
