Sharrif Floyd will not play Sunday vs. Detroit
By Dan Zinski
Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against Detroit.
Floyd has a knee/ankle injury and did not participate in practice during the week.
Everson Griffen is listed as probable this week. He missed last week’s game with a mysterious illness the Vikings didn’t bother to report until the inactives list came out.
Adrian Peterson is listed as probable with a finger injury. Peterson hurt his finger late in the game against the Chiefs.
Charles Johnson is listed as probable and should be active for this weekend’s game.
Captain Munnerlyn also popped up on the injury report this week with a bad thumb.
Justin Trattou has once again been ruled out thanks to his on-going foot injury. Trattou is a candidate to go on IR if the Vikings need a roster spot.
The Detroit Lions list DeAndre Levy and Brandon Pettigrew as out.
Cornerback Josh Wilson is listed as questionable with a concussion. The Lions are being shady about Wilson’s concussion the same way the Vikings were about Brandon Fusco.
Wide receiver Golden Tate is listed as probable with hurt feelings left over from the last game where the Vikings hit him and his teammates too hard. That’s a joke, he really has an injured ankle.
