The Minnesota Vikings solved their “which receiver should we deactivate this week” dilemma by activating all six.
While the Vikings are loaded depth-wise at receiver, their defensive line is a little thin with both Sharrif Floyd and Justin Trattou sitting out.
The good news is that Everson Griffen is active for the Lions game after missing last week’s game with an illness.
Adrian Peterson was downgraded to questionable on Saturday with an illness but as expected he is active for today’s game and ready to go.
Stefon Diggs gets the start at wide receiver instead of Charles Johnson who is active after missing two games with a rib injury.
Tom Johnson will get the start at DT in place of Sharrif Floyd according to the Vikings Twitter account.
Newly-acquired DT Kenrick Ellis is active but the Vikings had no choice there with the injuries on the D-line. How much Ellis is ready to actually contribute after just a handful of practices is anybody’s guess.
Jabari Price is once again a healthy scratch. Inactives for the Lions include LB DeAndre Levy and TE Brandon Pettigrew.
