Teddy Bridgewater nominated for Clutch Performance of Week 8

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has been nominated for the Castrol Edge Clutch Performer Of The Week for his work against the Chicago Bears.

The Minnesota Vikings grabbed victory from the clutches of defeat during Sunday’s game at Soldier field.  Big plays from Teddy Bridgewater to wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Charles Johnson on the team’s final two offensive drives of the game help get the division road win.

Thanks to that performance, Bridgewater has been nominated for the Castrol Edge Clutch Performer of the Week.

Bridgewater will face some major competition for the award.  Here are the five players who are currently nominated:

Drew Brees

, New Orleans Saints – Brees scored his 7th touchdown of the game to tie the Giants and send the game to overtime, where Brees drove the team into field goal position to win the game.

  • Teddy Bridgewater, Minnesota Vikings – Bridgewater recorded a perfect quarterback rating in the Vikings final two drives.  The first drive ended with a Diggs touchdown with the second resulting in a Blair Walsh field goal to win the game.

  • Luke Kuechly, Carolina Panthers – An interception by Kuechly in overtime against the Indianapolis Colts in overtime helped the Panthers get into position for a game-winning field goal to remain the NFC’s only unbeaten team.
