Stefon Diggs is in the middle of a historic run right now for the Vikings but that run may be danger of interruption.
You may recall that late in the Bears game, a few plays before his epic game-tying catch in fact, Diggs had to briefly leave with some kind of leg injury. That leg injury turned out to be hamstring-related.
Diggs felt good enough to continue playing against the Bears: good news for the Vikings as he helped the team overcome a 20-13 deficit and beat Chicago.
However, Diggs’ hamstring apparently wasn’t feeling that great on Wednesday and that’s perhaps why the Vikings elected to hold him out of practice.
The good news is that according to ESPN Diggs was doing receiver drills in the early part of the day, so it could be the Vikings just decided to give him the rest of the day off as a precautionary measure.
Thus far indications are that Diggs’ problem is not serious so there’s no reason to believe he won’t be on the field Sunday against the Rams.

Losing Diggs would obviously be a huge blow for the Vikings who have been leaning on the rookie in a big way in recent weeks.
In just four games, Diggs has 25 receptions for 419 yards and two TDs. By comparison, highly-paid veteran WR Mike Wallace in seven games has just 292 yards on 26 receptions with one TD.
Against Chicago, Diggs ended up with 95 yards on six catches despite being stymied for much of the first half.
Wallace finished the Bears game with zero yards on zero catches. But he did do a good job blocking downfield for Diggs on his TD, so that was nice.
Also missing practice for the Vikings on Wednesday were center Joe Berger and linebackers Eric Kendricks and Anthony Barr.
